It's over, the days of old
The specks of sawdust on my clothes
The dirt and grime within my eyes.
It's over, the things of old
The stupidity that garnished itself on me
The naivety that wrapped itself around my legs.
It's over, the crimes of old
The sin that strangles and destroys
The loss that attracts more of its own into itself like void.
It's over, it's gone, it's past.
It's past, it's past.
The sun will shine again another day.
